Gaetano (pronounced Guy-Ta-No) is a Flagler Beach local who’s been surfing for 13 years and teaching for 6. He rides a Bing Continental 10’2 and has competed in major comps like NSSA Regionals and Loggerhead. Whether he’s surfing up and down the East Coast or helping campers stand up for the first time, he brings pure stoke to every session.

Born in Boynton Beach, Florida, Kyle moved to Flagler Beach when he was 10 years old and started surfing at age 12. With more than 32 years of surfing experience, he has surfed throughout Florida as well as Costa Rica and North Carolina.

Teaching surfing has given Kyle a renewed passion for being in the water. He especially enjoys helping beginners become comfortable in the ocean, build confidence, and discover the same love for surfing that he has had for decades.

For Kyle, one of the most rewarding parts of teaching is watching a student experience the excitement of catching their first wave.

Eden was born and raised in Florida and has spent her whole life in the water. Over the past year, she’s taken her surfing to the next level, traveling to places like Costa Rica and continuing to grow her skills and confidence in the ocean.

With experience teaching kids of all ages through both gymnastics and surf instruction, Eden brings a fun, encouraging, and energetic presence to every session. She loves helping students build confidence, find their own style, and have fun in the water.

Her favorite part of teaching is watching someone catch their first wave and immediately want to go again. “It’s like nothing else matters in that moment.”

When she’s not at the beach, Eden is working toward becoming a dental hygienist and enjoys spending time cooking and staying active.

Katie began teaching surf lessons over two decades ago in Southern California, where she built a thriving surf school, coached celebrity clients, and appeared on national television. She later spent 10 years in Hawaii, teaching private lessons on iconic North Shore breaks and leading immersive surf retreats.

After meeting her husband, a Flagler Beach native, on the North Shore of Oʻahu, Katie eventually made her way to Florida, where they now live with their twin boys (who first rode on surfboards at just 10 months old).

Katie brings a wealth of experience, ocean expertise, and a thoughtful teaching approach that makes every student feel confident, supported, and excited to learn. Her lessons are fun, empowering, and grounded in a deep passion for helping others thrive in the water.
